Physical Therapy Services
The BSED physical therapists (PT) provide an educational model of service to the 6 member school districts. These related therapy services are available for students who meet state eligibility criteria for an educational plan (IEP, IFSP) and show a need for OT and/or PT support. These services may include assessment, consultation, environmental modifications, and inservices.
Physical Therapy Services focus on:
* Gross motor skills (balance, locomotor, ball skills)
* Functional mobility
* Adaptive equipment
* Positioning
* Strength
* Coordination skills
* Staff training and inservices
* Parent/caregiver education
